Reflexology (free)

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy that can be effective in reducing stress and promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing. It is the application of gentle pressure (using fingers and thumbs) to the feet based on the principle that there are points on the feet that correspond to all parts of the body, including the glands and organs.

A few words from Louise, our reflexologist:

If you are on a cancer journey, your time with the reflexologist is part of your self-care. It allows you:

  • time to talk and be heard
  • time to relax and focus on yourself
  • a supportive and empathetic environment

Several studies have shown that Reflexology can reduce chemotherapy side-effects and increase quality of life..

Reflexology can be used safely alongside standard oncology treatment to promote better health and a greater sense of wellbeing.

Your well-trained reflexologist will not claim to cure your condition and will not diagnose, prescribe or ask you to stop taking your medication. Reflexology is a very individualised treatment which is tailored to your requirements on the day.
