Mindful Meditation

We are delighted to be offering guided mindfulness sessions weekly starting 13th July 2022, these are to be led by Anna Edgar.

Anna is a Mindfulness Coach trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, MBCT and Living Mindfulness.  She has additional training in trauma sensitive mindfulness, mindful communication, and Mindfulness for teens 11-18.  She has an established daily mindfulness practice of 9 years.

A few words from Anna, our Mindfulness Coach:

Mindfulness is a form of attention training that helps bring clarity and perspective to life’s ups or downs by tuning in to the body, thoughts, and emotions.

Wherever you are on your cancer journey, mindfulness helps in managing periods of anxiety or depression, stress, emotional or physical discomfort, and in enhancing wellbeing.

Mindful communication helps with clarity during treatment and support and develops empathy and understanding of needs and feelings between family and friends.

CSG06 offers weekly free mindfulness group practice.  No previous experience required.

You can practice seated in a chair or lying down,

with flexibility to adapt practice for what feels right for you at the time.

 The group is welcoming, warm, respectful, and accepting.

We invite patience, compassion, and kindness. 

There is opportunity for reflection, quiet, pause, slowing down, sharing observations, and asking questions on integrating the practice into your daily life
