Nutritional Advice (free)
A healthy diet & lifestyle is important for all of us but particularly important when our health is otherwise compromised and during a cancer journey. It is crucial to make good choices to maximize our nutritional intake and to balance our lives to reduce stress and improve wellbeing.
A qualified Nutritional Therapist can help you create a plan that’s right for you. Susie, our nutritionist, spent eight years studying nutrition at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London, obtaining a BSc Hons in 2022, and has studied cancer nutrition both with Dr Nalini Chilkov and the American Institute of Integrative Oncology (AIIORE) and with Dr Nasha Winters of The Metabolic Approach to Cancer (MTIH).
Here are a few words from Susie:
I think it is really important to work with a professional to learn what foods are most beneficial to include in your diet and which to reduce during a cancer journey. Many research studies show that certain foods can feed cancer cells and that others nourish us while discouraging cancer cells growth.
I work with patients throughout their illness, maximizing their health while working to reduce potential side-effects during treatment. We use diet, lifestyle and supplements to help counterbalance the negative side of treatment and look to complementary therapies to enhance well-being where necessary.
Each person and each cancer is individual, so diet, lifestyle, and treatment will be different. Let me personalise a plan to suit you.
